Mother of a baby girl born after birth has said she is glad the baby girl survived.
The 17-month-old was born with an injury to the skull after the woman’s husband cut off the chain attached to her head and carried it out of the home in a plastic bucket, The Associated Press reported.
Her mother, Tessa Jones, said the chain was attached to the woman after she and her husband had a dispute.
She said she had to cut it out because she was worried the baby might get hurt.
The couple is now going through a painful recovery and the baby is doing fine, Jones said.
