When you’re having a pregnancy, you’re in a lot of pain and you’re worried about the baby.
If you’re feeling stressed or scared about your health, you might be more likely to get pregnant and deliver a baby.
But if you’re not feeling well or worried about childbirth, there are a few things you can do to help yourself relax.

You might want to check with your GP if you: are in a rush to have your baby; and are worried about being late.
You may want more help with the delivery.
Your GP may have a number of options for you.
If you have a condition that causes you to be unable to feel pain during labour, you can seek help from your GP or nurse practitioner.
You might be able to get a general practitioner to assist you if your symptoms aren’t helping to calm you down.
You should be offered a local birth control implant.
If the baby isn’t going to be healthy, it might be important for you to get the support you need from a specialist if you have some other health issues.
You can ask your GP for advice on getting the support that you need.

If your symptoms are not improving, your GP may be able help you with some of the following: finding a local midwife to help if your baby isn’ going to die or isn’t moving well; getting a CT scan; getting blood tests; or getting you an ultrasound.
